Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 30, 2026

This policy is published by Brian Roy and covers two products:

They are described separately below, since they collect different information.

Part 1: deviantparadigm.com

Information We Collect

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard web server log entries when you visit. These include your IP address, the pages you requested, your browser type and operating system, and the date and time of each request. These logs are used for security monitoring and troubleshooting.

Sign-in information

This site offers an optional “Sign in with Google” feature. If you choose to sign in, Google shares the following information with this site:

This information is stored in our database. It is used to identify your account, maintain your login session, and—if you are a contributor—display your name alongside content you publish. We do not receive your Google password.

Session cookies

When you sign in, a session cookie is placed in your browser to keep you logged in across page loads. This cookie contains no personal information; it references a temporary server-side session that is discarded when you log out or your session expires.

How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as described under “Third-Party Services” below.

Third-Party Services

Google Identity Services

When you use Sign in with Google, this site loads a script from Google’s servers (accounts.google.com) and sends your sign-in credential to Google’s servers to verify its authenticity. This means Google is aware that you visited this site when you sign in. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Visitors who do not sign in do not cause any requests to Google’s servers.

This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party tracking technology.

Data Retention

Your account information is retained until you request its deletion. Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider’s standard practices.

Your Choices

You may log out at any time, which immediately destroys your session. To request deletion of your account information, contact me at deviantparadigm@gmail.com.

Part 2: Dot Painter (Android app)

Dot Painter is a drawing toy. Its privacy story is simple because the app is built to collect nothing.

Information We Collect

Nothing. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

Your Paintings

Everything you draw stays on your device. When you use Save, the image is handed to Android’s share sheet so you choose where it goes (your photo gallery, another app, etc.). The developer never receives your paintings.

Network Access

The app declares the standard INTERNET permission required by its runtime, but it does not send your data anywhere. All of its content is bundled in the app and runs offline.

Permissions

The app does not request access to your photos, camera, location, contacts, or storage.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated.
